DJ Esther
Esther was born in Leiden, The Netherlands.
As a little girl she showed signs of being a creative person. She expressed her creativity
through making colorful drawings with more than average talent.
At a very young age (11 years old) Esther heard for the first time the magical sound of house-music and only 2 years later she tasted the vibe of electronic music on underground parties.
She was inspired by the way DJ’s created a fantasy world with these rhythmic sounds
and that was the inspiration to start DJ’ing herself. At the age of 15 she started spinning
records at a friends place.
1998, Together with her friends, she organized illegal house parties which became
very successful in the underground scene of the mid-south of Holland.
2000, she moved to Amsterdam to expand her creativity.
2002, she started playing at Cafe Vaaghuyzen and soon after that she started to play in clubs all over the Netherlands as well as abroad.
She is resident DJ at VONK, a 2 monthly clubnight at Hotel Arena in Amsterdam and has been playing with national and international names like Jamie Anderson, Billy Nasty, Funk D'Void, Bart Skils, Erick E. Don Diablo & Eddie Amador.
Her passionate love for music makes her a very creative DJ.
She likes to play different styles and her sets vary from deep-house, tech-house, acid and minimal with electro, tech and also jazzy influences. And she likes to play firm beats & dirty grooves.
