DJ Lady Aïda is renowned for her special vision on contemporary dance music. She knows how
to capture and mesmerise her audience with the musical story that she unfolds. Aïda favours a wide spectrum of the underground sound in her sets. Ranging from tech-house and techno (Detroit-style /Chicago) to electro. Having started her DJ carreer back in 1989, Lady Aïda continuous to be an important trend setter in the Dutch dance music-scene.

DJ Lady Aïda plays her music at many different events such as cultural festivals, filmfestivals, multi-media- events, and celebrated festivals to which dance music is central. For example: Metropolis, Lowlands, Dance Valley, Pinkpop, Digital Overdose, Hellraiser, Fast Forward, Crossing Border, Rotterdam Filmfestival, Noorderslag, New Frontier , 4-Elements, 5 Days Off , Extrema festival, and Euroslag in the Netherlands.
Other festivals in Europe: Borealis (Montpellier/Nîmes, France ) 10 days off (Gent, Belgium) Love Parade (Berlin).
Aïda is invited on a regular basis as a guest throughout the Dutch club-scene . For example: Paradiso , Milky Way, RoXY, Mazzo, Westergasfabrieken (Amsterdam) Doornroosje (Nijmegen) Nighttown (Rotterdam) 013 (Tilburg).
She plays extensively in clubs throughout Europe and the rest of the world. For example: London ( Ministry, Vapourspace, Brixton Academy, Wax etc) Berlin (Dubmission) , Paris ( Queen, Rex, etc) , Vienna (different locations) Melbourne (Imax) and Tel Aviv (Ku) etc.

Lady Aïda presents : Doppler F Act. This album unfolds the tale of Lady Aïda. The Doppler F Act experience contains her expression of sensitivity, personality and attitude. A story of shifting rhythms, a fluency of electro, techno and drum 'n' bass. This is the first chapter of a series of compilations mixed and compiled by the lady herself. It projects another vision on the mix of music were the emphasis is on atmosphere and tension.

Lady Aïda compiles and mixes exclusively for VPRO 3voor12.nl two Rebelmixes a month. VPRO 3voor12 is the digital headquarter from the leading Dutch national radio and television broadcast station VPRO. Their programmes on radio and television and the internet are very progressive and always up front. The VPRO 3voor12 website is known to be the biggest music data base from Europe. All rebelmixes (the first mix from dec 1999 and later) and several live club/festival dj-mixes are available on demand in real audio on VPRO 3voor12 and Rebelbass.

Currently you can catch Lady Aïda at her resident club the Effenaar in Eindhoven (capacity 750), hosting her succesfull Fluid night for 7 years now. Fluid is a 2-monthly event which has featured many artists like: Andrew Weatherall, Matt Wishmountain 'Herbert' Rockit, Jedi Knights, Jeff Mills, Electric Indigo, Plaid, Bandulu, Darren Emerson, Rolando, Neil Landstrumm, DJ Hell, Kitbuilders, Damon Wild, Terence fixmer, John Selway, Miss Kitten and many more Ü all of them invited by Aïda.

DJ Lady Aïda also works as a reporter for Oor magazine ( every two weeks, 50.000 circulation). Working as a dancemusic-critic she compiles the uncompromising, underground RebelBass single chart, and every two weeks she writes in her column RebelBass about the Dutch and international dance-scene, upcoming releases, exhibitions , obscure internetsites etc.
