Anne Savage. Well, with a name like that she was hardly going to join the convent now was she? In the past 12 months Anne has become more than just a record spinner, a regular name in magazines and tv and soon to front a new radio show with her old friend Roger Sanchez, she really means business. Let her entertain you……

Her first residency was in Bolzano Italy when she was just a young and naïve nineteen year old. Her first UK residency was at the Legendary Angels in Burnley, alongside Carl Cox in 1993 which led to other residencies at Vague and Ark in Leeds.

Although recognised almost universally for her hard house sets, Anne has undoubted talent for spinning every type of music from breaks, deep house techno and euphoric house. It is her ability to watch how a crowd react to her sets which makes her the true clubber's DJ. Although the true hard house queen, Anne is willing (and able) to move with the times altering her sets to what the clubbers want to hear.

Anne has played in almost every corner of the globe including Italy, Majorca, Ibiza, Austria, Norway, Finland, Germany, Greece, Japan, Austrailia, New Zealand and the US. She has a huge following in Canada, especially Toronto where she is one of the few international DJs to play ever major dance club in the city, as well as being invited to represent the UK by playing for the British Embassy in Canada.

In 1998/9 she toured South Africa twice with Goldie, Grace Jones and the Weather Girls, playing to 33,000 people in Johannesburg, and was broadcast on CNN. Anne is a regular face in Ministry Magazine, M8 and Muzik, as well as being interviewed for KISS TV, MTV, Electric Circus and doing a spot of presenting on Rapture TV. She has recently just completed one part of the CH4 docu-soap 'Faking It' where she took a classically trained musician under her wing (and her roof) for a month and taught her how to walk, talk and mix like a Superstar DJ! It seems every one wants a piece of Anne….!

Anne has just been approached by Ministry of Sound/Galaxy radio to front a new Friday night dance show with old friend Roger Sanchez which will go into production in April. With such high energy and talented presenters, how can it fail?


Anne frequently plays for UK club giants, Slinky, Golden, Passion, Progress, Sundissential, Tidy Trax and Inside Out in Glasgow. She plays all the major dance festivals including Creamfields, Homelands, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and the Mezzanine May Day Ball. She has been asked by Radio 1 and Pete Tong to do the Essential Mix broadcast in March 2001.

But she doesn't just spin those tunes. She has had four releases as 'Destiny Angel' on Automatic Records. She records as herself on Tidy Trax, releasing over 20 tracks, the biggest of which being 'I need a man' and 'I need you' clocking over 50,000 copies. She is also one half of the Tidy Girls, alongside Lisa Lashes, A&Ring their own label. Anne also has her own label 'Freakshow' with Defected's Craig Burger Queen, remixing and producing tracks as 'Northern Scum.'

The future looks savagely bright. Anne's determination and passion is apparent to anyone who meets her. Her popularity is down to her vivacious personality and energetic performance, which comes across to all clubbers who love and follow her music. Gorgeous, friendly and a whole lot of fun - you know she'd be on the dancefloor if she wasn't in the DJ booth - she really is the Clubber's DJ.
